Many years ago my husband and two other OKC physicians began work to establish the Oklahom Blood Institute. It was an arduous task but once set up a Director was needed. Dr. Ron Gilcher was seleted as the OBI Director. He went on to make this Institute one of the best. Dr. Gilcher remained in that position until his retirement a few years ago. The Oklahoma Blood Institute is what it is today because of the dedication of Dr. Gilcher. He was a man of vision and integrity.
