The most important thing I remember about Dr Gilcher was his faith and trust in me. When I came onboard OBI, the computers were woefully underpowered. I did my best with them to get them to perform somewhat better. He would ask me what we needed and I was truthful with him and I always got what I needed. I was not the director but I knew the system (I was the Operations Manager and Systems Manager) and knew what OBI needed to move into the future.
I appreciated our relationship. He was there for my wife Sharon Cassady who had terminal cancer. She was the Bone Marrow coordinator at OBI and loved the company. Together we gave close to 30 years to the company and it was my favorite 9-5 job in my life.
